Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace

Everton snagged their first PL win of the season with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, thanks to Dwight McNeil’s second-half double! The Eagles kicked things off with a bang, taking an early lead through Marc Guéhi’s quick reaction at the near post. Everton pushed hard for an equalizer, but Palace seemed to have it all under control, with Eddie Nketiah almost adding a second after a chaotic scramble in Everton’s box.

The second half was a whole different story for Everton! McNeil curled a stunning shot into the net from 25 yards, lighting up Goodison Park. Just seven minutes later, he added another, controlling Jack Harrison’s cross before firing low past Palace’s keeper. Despite some late pressure from Palace, Everton’s defense stood strong, boosted by the return of Jarrad Branthwaite. The Toffees leapfrogged Palace in the table, leaving the Eagles winless and in a bit of a pickle near the relegation zone.

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Fulham

Raúl Jiménez’s penalty was just enough to give Fulham a narrow 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. The Cottagers started strong, with Adama Traoré forcing Matz Sels into a tricky save. Forest fought back, with Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood both coming close, but Wood’s goal was ruled offside.

In the second half, Fulham took advantage of a mistake by Forest’s Murillo, who fouled Andreas Pereira in the box. Jiménez stepped up to convert the penalty, becoming only the second Mexican player to hit 50 PL goals. Forest pushed for an equalizer, but Fulham’s defense held firm, extending their unbeaten run to five matches and handing Forest their first loss of the season.

Brentford 1-1 West Ham

West Ham bounced back from an early setback to grab a 1-1 draw against Brentford. The Bees took the lead just a minute in when Bryan Mbeumo finished brilliantly after being set up by Fábio Carvalho. Brentford dominated the early stages, but West Ham gradually found their rhythm.

Their persistence paid off early in the second half, as Tomáš Souček capitalized on a rebound from Michail Antonio’s shot to equalize. The game then slowed down, with neither team wanting to take risks, resulting in a point each. Both sides are still in mid-table, on the hunt for a bit more consistency.

Chelsea 4-2 Brighton

Cole Palmer made history by becoming the first player to score four first-half goals in a PL match as Chelsea triumphed over Brighton 4-2! Brighton started strong, with former Chelsea keeper Robert Sánchez making an early blunder that allowed Georginio Rutter to head into an empty net. Palmer quickly responded for Chelsea, scoring his first after capitalizing on a mistake by Adam Webster. Minutes later, Palmer converted a penalty after Jadon Sancho was fouled.

Palmer completed his hat-trick with a stunning free-kick, but Brighton capitalized on another Sánchez error, with Carlos Baleba pulling one back. Palmer netted his fourth before halftime to restore Chelsea’s two-goal lead. The second half saw Brighton push hard but struggle to break down Chelsea’s defense. Despite dominating possession, Chelsea secured all three points, moving up to third in the table while Brighton’s unbeaten run came to an end.

Arsenal 4-2 Leicester City

Arsenal edged past Leicester in a thrilling 4-2 win, thanks to Leandro Trossard’s dramatic 94th-minute strike! Arsenal dominated early, with Gabriel Martinelli scoring his first of the season after 20 minutes, and Trossard doubling the lead just before halftime.

Leicester stunned the hosts with a quickfire comeback in the second half, as James Justin scored twice to level the match. Arsenal piled on the pressure, but Leicester’s keeper Mads Hermansen made a series of impressive saves. Just when it seemed Leicester would hold on for a draw, Trossard struck in stoppage time to seal a dramatic victory for the Gunners. Havertz added a late goal to cap off the win, bringing Arsenal level with Manchester City at the top of the table.
