Manchester United’s decision to loan Jadon Sancho to Chelsea might just be one of the biggest blunders of the transfer window, says former England keeper David James.
Sancho, who left on deadline day with an obligation to buy, was moved on after a rocky relationship with manager Erik ten Hag. Despite his struggles at Old Trafford, his lively performance in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth has got everyone questioning United’s rush to let him go.
James thinks United could really regret this move, especially if Sancho shines at Stamford Bridge. “My signing of the window has to be Chelsea’s capture of Sancho,” he said. “He looked really lively against Bournemouth, and there’s no doubt there is a player in there.”
With Sancho showing flashes of his talent again, have United made a costly mistake? Could he reignite his career at Chelsea and leave his former club looking silly?
