Things got worse for Arsenal ten minutes later when goalkeeper David Raya fouled Evanilson in the box, letting Kluivert step up and score the penalty, doubling Bournemouth’s lead.
The Gunners couldn’t find a way back, and the match ended in disappointment for Mikel Arteta’s crew. This was Arsenal’s first Premier League away loss of 2024, and they now face a tough match against Liverpool next weekend without their defensive rock, Saliba. Meanwhile, Bournemouth celebrated a rare win over Arsenal and climbed into the top half of the table, edging out Manchester United on goal difference.
